As its name suggests, mud rotary drilling uses a sharp, rotating drill bit to create boreholes in conjunction with mud to stabilize, remove cuttings, suppress downhole water and gas pressure, and lubricate the drilling string. Aardvark Drilling carries a wide variety of drilling muds including a polymer and additive free mud for environmentally sensitive tasks. Mud rotary drilling rigs are designed to drill a hole with a high penetration rate, making them extremely useful for deep exploration applications.
